Responsibilities:

  • Work independently in a wide variety of engagements under the leadership of Managers, Senior Managers and Partners
  • Take part in firm-development opportunities by providing research and other skills to help in standards administration and overall firm growth,
  • Assist in the development of assurance planning strategies and supervise their implementation,
  • Assist in the mentoring and development of Junior staff members,
  • Learn to develop and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • A valid CPA Designation (or valid international equivalent), or successful completion of the CFE and working towards a CPA designation,
  • Relevant audit experience within a Canadian CPA firm is considered an asset,
  • Previous experience with Canadian Corporate/Personal Tax, Payroll Tax, Sales Tax, and other CRA compliance matters is considered an asset,
  • Experience dealing with Taxprep and Caseware is considered an asset,
  • Previous experience using various accounting software including Sage50, Sage300, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop is considered an asset,
  • Willingness and ability to travel,
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills required,
  • The ability to work independently, or in a team dynamic, in a fast-paced work environment,
  • A can-do attitude and commitment to excellence
